By working with our customers, distributors and trainers we have used our experience in the canine care field to put together a system. This system keeps ADGGP on track to expand to those who seek our high class facility and services. In order to make sure this happens it is pertinent that ALL employees embody this system. ADGGP runs on the concept that giving all owners with most breeds of dogs a place to come for help in raising, guiding and growing a happy, healthy well adjusted canine. In order for this concept to become reality ADGGP must put itself in highly visible positions.
We will work diligently to make each and every dog safe- this is the number one goal at all times. Strict Procedures are in place, with changes occurring as different scenarios come into play. Having a business on the cutting edge will always bring non-standard daily challenges and we are ready!
What makes ADGGP so special? Simply put: The Employees! The type of employee that ADGGP hires is one that thrives in this environment. If maintaining the status quo is what you are looking for in care for your dog, then ADGGP is not for you. If placing your dog in an environment that everyone is pushing themselves, physically, mentally and emotionally to give all canines a happy, healthy life then you have come to right place!

5. When you pick them up, we'll let you know how they did!
Reservations are not required but highly suggested. If your dog will not be attending on a scheduled day, we need to know by 9:00am of the scheduled day. Failure to notify us will result in a $25 'no show' charge or 1 day removed from your dog's pass. If your dog misses (and you fail to notify ADGGP) three or more visits within a sixty day period, your dog will lose his permanent scheduled spot. This policy is to ensure that dogs on the waiting list get to join us when space allows.
Puppies are accepted at any age after their second set of shots. ADGGP Play Care is not recommended for dogs under 3 months.
We've learned that dogs are happiest playing together once they've worked out the "rules of the pack." (Groups of dogs instinctively work out a sort of pecking order.) But if a new dog shows up long after the pack has formed, it can be a lot less fun for the newbie. It's a little like being the new kid in school who joins halfway through the year.. and going straight to recess. To make sure that doesn't happen, we encourage you to have your dog join us by 9am so that we can carefully monitor the formation of the pack.
All shots and updates are the responsibility of each dog owner. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis Parvovirus, Parainvluenza (DHPP 4 in 1) are required upon expiration, A Clean Fecal Test is required yearly. The Corona vaccine is recommended for all daycare dogs. Bordatella (kennel cough) must be up to date and renewed every 12 months. Written proof of vaccinations or titer counts are required. It is the owner's responsibility to provide ADGGP all shots and medical updates.
All dogs accepted into our Play Care must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. Unaltered dogs under the age of 6 months that exhibit or cause negative behaviors may be suspended from all social services until sterilized.
All dogs must be free of communicable diseases for at least 3 months prior to enrollment. Upon enrollment and re-admission all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other pets.
Dogs in Play Care must not exhibit any aggressive behavior for any reason. Any dog exhibiting such behavior will be safely isolated from the rest of the daycare and will not be allowed re-admission until such behavior has been modified. We reserve the right to exclude dogs from Play Care that pose a potential risk to the safety of our dogs and staff or if your dog is unhappy in our pack.
Play Care days can be purchased in any increment of days. The larger the number of days the cheaper each day is priced. Please see our Playcare/rates page for more information. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.
All dogs must wear a flat quick release collar or harness to Play Care, if your dog comes in without a quick release collar we will place one on them for one visit. Collars are available for sale for $5 from the front office. Dogs are not to wear any chain or pinch collars on the Play Care floor. Because water and pools are in all yards, no personal electronic components should be on the dog at drop off. We also ask that all small dogs wear harnesses to our Play Care program. ADGGP will not handle any dogs on retractable leashes. Retractable leashes are fine for exercising your pooch but can be dangerous when handling an excited, happy dog.
Some dogs need lunches. All lunches must come in a plastic bag or container with their name plainly marked. Please do not bring your dog's toys, bowls or bedding. We have plenty of those items. On your dog's evaluation day, please be prepared to pick up your dog between 11:00-11:30am.
ADGGP offers a quiet space for our dogs that need a watchful eye while they heal from post-operative surgeries. Dogs that join us for respite care must be compatible with other dogs, illnesses must be non-communicable. Additional waivers may apply for severely injured or sick dogs and updated medical information may be needed. Dogs must come with their medication with written instruction, a regular leash and must not be a chronic barker.
We do accept Pit Bull Mixes. However, we have a limited number of Playcare spots available. Please check with us prior to registering your Pit Mix to verify that we have an available placement for your pup. ADGGP does except bully breeds up to 18 months of age. We do this because we believe that it is very important to socialize all dogs at an early age. Unfortunately insurance reasons will not allow us to continue caring for them past the 18 month time frame. For this reason we like to bring them in at the youngest age possible to allow us to be able to work with them for the maximum length of time.
Due to the social nature of our programs, all dogs that attend our daycare and overnight care are required to have a successful temperament screening prior to their scheduled visit. We typically do our temperament tests on weekdays and always by appointment. Are current on vaccines, and are altered as per our daycare regulations. Dogs attending our overnight care must also have been vaccinated against the bordatella viruses a minimum of 14 days prior to their first scheduled visit. Our current daycare clients meet all these requirements.
Place all meds inside each food bag. There is no charge for medication fed with each meal. If your dog takes medication, please mark it clearly and write out a time table of when they should receive medication.
Weekdays: 6:30am - 9:00am / 2:00pm - 8:30pm. Saturday/Sunday: 7:30am - 9:00am / 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
We provide bedding, healthy treats, bowls, toys, friends, snuggle time, etc. you are welcome to bring any, all, some or none. We ask, for your dog's tummy's sake, that you bring your dog's food for his stay, placing each meal in a separate baggie marked AM or PM. We do this to ensure that your dog gets the exact amount of food that they are used and it makes it easier for us to track whether your dog is eating. You may bring bedding, if you like, but please make sure it's washable as we do daily room service which includes the washing of your dog's bed if necessary. Your dog should wear a collar, have a standard flat or rolled leash (no retractables), and be wearing his or her tags
During your dogs stay he/she may eat one of our beds, or chew up or off a piece of their condo (this is very difficult as these are made specifically for dogs). Such actions will bring a charge dependant on the severity of the offense. We try very hard to keep your dog busy and tired but some dogs get stressed and do things that are not "normal" for them. We totally understand and hope you do too.
In the event that we feel a visit to the vet is needed, we will always try to contact you before taking action. If we are unable to reach you, we will attempt to contact your emergency contact. If a visit to the vet is needed, we will do our best to take your pet to your primary vet of choice. If you're primary provider is unavailable we will take your pet to the nearest available option. Potential visits to the vet include but is not limited to: hot spots, abscesses, coughing, urinary issues. Many dog's come in to board and are fine but under the stress of being boarded issues arise. It is very important to ADGGP that your dog is cared for in the very best way possible. I look at every situation separately and always ask myself the question "if this was my dog what would I do?" It is the responsibility of the parent to reimburse ADGGP for any medical emergencies that arise. Please verify prior to leaving that all of your release forms are signed and dated, this helps us when taking your dog for care.
Dogs are let outside first thing in the morning, at 5:30AM. Once outside, your dog will be fed according to your provided instructions. After being fed, the pups are let into their assigned yard for playtime. At 11:30AM, we begin crating all dogs for a break from 12:00-2:00PM. If your dog is fed a daily lunch, they will be fed at this time. At 2:00PM, all dogs are let back out to play until 5:00PM. Boarding pets are then placed back into their personal room until 7:00PM as our staff cleans the facilities. At 7:00PM, boarding pets are let back outside for a final potty break until 8:15PM. They are the placed back into the rooms for the night.
At ADGGP, the sky is the limit as far as what we offer. Included in your overnight care package is daycare and daily enrichment games such as swimming, chasing all kinds of balls and stuffed, frozen Kong pupicles. We always snap photos..giving our pups a chance to ham it up. We encourage our staff to really consider what makes your dog's stay truly out of this world. If we could make bones rain from the sky, we would for our doggie guests.
At ADGGP, our dogs are part of our daycare play time and enjoy all the same party moments as our daycare groups. Our overnight guests spend two hours in the morning and evening resting post meal. We have a trained staff member that oversees meal times, monitors amount fed, how much a dog rests and provides support for those dogs that are a bit overwhelmed.
At ADGGP, we feel that education is key to a successful dog enrichment program. Our staff spend several hours training with senior staff members, studying dog communication skills and behavioral elements. Our staff are also required to watch training videos offered by nationally recognized professionals. The staff also have 24 hour a day access to the owner of ADGGP and emergency vet care. Nothing can be more disturbing than hearing your dog is being cared for by someone who has just been taught to clean the kennels, scoop poop and plop down a food bowl.
As with any dog to dog play a pup can go home with a scratch or owies. Just like kids playing on a playground or at school! Think about those days of dodge ball, jump rope and wrestling. With dogs, an ear can be pinched a bit too hard during an "all in good fun" rumble, a toenail can scratch a face or a side "tagged" in a bit of zealous chase. At ADGGP, we have trained staff to administer first aid as well as several on call veterinarians that can handle those small emergencies.
You're more than welcome to bring your dog's own bedding, toys, bones, treats, etc.. Our goal is for your pet to be as comfortable during their stay as they are at home. If you have any questions about bring a particular item please feel free to ask our staff.
Bordatella, or otherwise known as Kennel Cough, is a vaccine that we liken to the flu shot for upper respiratory bugs. While it won't ward off all strains, it will get the bigger, badder and meaner of the bunch. Kennel Cough is very contagious and is easily transmitted through the air. Most facilities require a Bordatella vaccine within six months and a minimum of 14 days prior. The manufacturer of the vaccine will indicate that it is good for a year, but according to some of our veterinary professionals, the documentation isn't very good on that timeline. Better to be safe, than sorry. Very few things disturb an owner than getting back a coughing dog and that is why so many places have strict requirements. If your dog comes home and starts to cough, chances are they picked up something...much like that sniffle you picked up on the airplane. Too much fun, the stress of a new place and the exposure to a crowd can all lead to an annoying cough. Let your boarding facility know so that they can watch the other dogs in their pack for signs of illness. If your dog continues to cough or it gets worse, especially at night, it is worth getting your pup over to the doc to get some antibiotics. Then, lots of R & R is in order.
In traditional kennels, dogs don't get the opportunity to interact with one another. So other than some inoculations, your dog can be easily accommodated in their runs or kennels. With the boom of dog daycare and the advantages of dog socialization, more facilities are offering group play. A good facility requires an evaluation to insure that your dog (and others) play the games fair, aren't aggressive and can be handled safely in a free range environment. It may seem like a lot of work to you, and it is, but the experience is well worth it for your dog.
You are responsible for providing ADGGP with an up-to-date health certificate verifying that these vaccinations are current. We do our best in reminding owners with our monthly reminder cards, but it is still the owners responsibility to keep us updated.
