Pre-Boarding Information

What is Required?
Due to the social nature of our programs, all dogs that attend our daycare and overnight care are required to have a successful temperament screening prior to their scheduled visit.  We typically do our temperament tests on weekdays and always by appointment.  Are current on vaccines, and are altered as per our daycare regulations.  Dogs attending our overnight care must also have been vaccinated against the bordatella viruses a minimum of 14 days prior to their first scheduled visit.  Our current daycare clients meet all these requirements.

Medication-
Place all meds inside each food bag. There is no charge for medication fed with each meal. If we need to administer your dog's medications there is a $5/day charge. If your dog takes medication, please mark it clearly and write out a time table of when they should receive medication.

Write out or type up any special instructions you want us to know about

Check-in/Check-out Times-
Because of our commitment to supervision and care, deviations from the check in and check out times are difficult to fulfill. Special appointment times may be subject to an additional fee to cover custom staffing.  Unlike most other places, ADGGP staff are completely dedicated to supervising, playing and overseeing our free-range pups and are unable to assist you at the cash register.  Safety is always a concern so the dogs are watched, stroked, and hugged all day and most of the night.  Please make your special pick up arrangements in advance and during normal business hours (see hours page).

Food/Bedding/Toys-
We provide bedding, healthy treats, bowls, toys, friends, snuggle time, etc.  you are welcome to bring any, all, some or none.  We ask, for your dog's tummy's sake, that you bring your dog's food for his stay, placing each meal in a separate baggie marked AM or PM. If each meal is not prepackaged in baggies we will charge $2 for each meal we must bag. We do this to ensure that your dog gets the exact amount of food that they are used and it makes it easier for us to track whether your dog is eating. We have premium food available in our retail shoppe for purchase should you need more or run out.  You may bring bedding, if you like, but please make sure it's washable as we do daily room service which includes the washing of your dog's bed if necessary.  Your dog should wear a collar, have a standard flat or rolled leash (no retractables), and be wearing his or her tags

What Else Should I Consider?
In our endeavor to provide continued education for Hillsboro dog lovers, we have provided a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions.)  This FAQ serves two purposes, it will answer some questions and provide you some additional information about your dog's stay.  It will also assist those wanting to research the best facilities by providing some questions to ask other kennels and alternative care environments.

Extra charges you MAY incur during your dogs stay- During your dogs stay he/she may eat one of our beds, or chew up or off a piece of their condo (this is very difficult as these are made specifically for dogs). Such actions will bring a charge dependant on the severity of the offense. We try very hard to keep your dog busy and tired but some dogs get stressed and do things that are not "normal" for them. We totally understand and hope you do too.

Emergency Vet Visits- I will take your dog to our vet, Rock Creek Vet Clinic or Walnut Street Vet. If there are any signs that your dog is in need of vet care. This includes but is not limited to: hot spots, abscesses, coughing, urinary issues. Many dog's come in to board and are fine but under the stress of being boarded issues arise. It is very important to ADGGP that your dog is cared for in the very best way possible. I will call the owner first, if they cannot be reached I will call the emergency contact. This is why it is very important for your information sheets to be filled out correctly and updated accordingly. I look at every situation separately and always ask myself the question "if this was my dog what would I do?" It is the responsibility of the parent to reimburse ADGGP for any medical emergencies that arise. Please verify prior to leaving that all of your release forms are signed and dated, this helps us when taking your dog for care.
